The FHWA is advertising for a Program Improvement Manager position in Lansing, MI at the GS-11/12 levels.
The ideal candidate is a mid-career professional with experience administering Federally funded highway programs as it relates to program reviews, performance management, risk management, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses initiative, team building, and communication skills, has experience identifying and implementing program improvements, and can successfully convey ideas and concepts in meetings and discussions.
The Program Improvement Manager’s principal duties are to lead the Michigan Division in the Process and Program Review and Risk Assessment components of the Risk-Based Stewardship and Oversight Program. This includes coordinating internal procedures and process improvements, benchmarking program processes for others, and completing, or assisting in the completion of initiatives that advance programs. In addition, the incumbent will partner with the external partners to promote the implementation of process improvements that aid in the effective delivery of programs and projects.
