As we expand our team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineer to contribute to our ongoing projects and initiatives.

Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or environmental engineering with specific expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Water and Wastewater Treatment System Design: Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed designs for water and wastewater treatment systems, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes.
  2. Process Optimization: Analyze existing treatment systems to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize process efficiency, minimize waste generation, and reduce environmental impact.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations governing wastewater treatment and ensure that all projects comply with relevant standards and permit requirements.
  4. Technical Analysis: Conduct thorough technical analyses, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to evaluate the performance and viability of proposed wastewater treatment solutions.
  5. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely completion and successful implementation of water and wastewater treatment projects.
  6. Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing technical expertise, addressing concerns, and delivering regular progress updates on water and wastewater treatment projects.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports, engineering drawings, and documentation to support project proposals, permit applications, and compliance reporting.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and technicians to integrate water and wastewater treatment solutions into larger environmental and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years or more of experience in water and wastewater treatment engineering, with demonstrated expertise in process design, optimization, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and wastewater treatment modeling tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainable water and wastewater treatment practices and emerging technologies is a plus.
